Police investigating farm machinery thefts in the Ribble Valley have tracked down an industrial woodchipper.
A tracking device led officers to the Hyndburn area where they found thieves had located the device and removed it.
However, after checking a known local hot-spot, officers then found the stolen vehicle.
Whilst at the same location, police also found a caravan stolen back in 2022.
A police spokesperson said: “Both were recovered with the chipper being returned to a very happy owner. We also seized what we suspect is the vehicle used to take it.
“Enquiries are still on-going to identify the offenders and we are working with our colleagues over in West Division to do so.
“Any information can be reported via Crime Stoppers online at https://orlo.uk/f9Cwq or emailed to RVRTF@lancashire.police.uk.”
