A Blackburn architect has been appointed a committee member of a national small business body.
Saira Hussain, is the owner of the female-led architectural practice HAD & Co, based in Burnley, Blackburn, and Manchester.
Saira has been appointed as a member of the UK Policy Committee (UKPC) for the National Federation of Self Employed and Small Businesses Limited (FSB).
As the existing, Employment Policy Chair at FSB, Saira is said she hoping to bring ‘her valuable experience’ to the UKPC.
Her term commenced on April 1, and extend until March 31, 2025. In the role, she will aim to play a crucial part in shaping FSB policy development and advocating for the interests of self-employed individuals and small businesses.
He responsibilities will include ‘overseeing member input into policy development, supporting the production of policy reports, drafting consultation responses, and engaging in lobbying the government’.
