A man was taken to hospital after they had to be rescued by the fire service during an incident in Nelson.
Three fire engines from Nelson and Hyndburn along with an aerial ladder platform attended the scene in Walton Lane shortly after 1pm yesterday (April 11).
Firefighters assisted North West Ambulance Service with rescuing and transferring the person to an ambulance. They were then taken to hospital.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Three fire engines from Nelson and Hyndburn along with the aerial ladder platform and rope rescue unit attended an incident on Walton Lane, Nelson.
"Firefighters assisted North West Ambulance Service with rescuing and transferring a casualty into an ambulance. The casualty was conveyed to hospital.
"Crews were in attendance for one hour."
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed a man was taken to hospital "with potentially serious injuries."
North West Air Ambulance Charity confirmed they were called to an incident in Nelson on April 11 but could not provide further details.
