At the risk of sounding like eternal tool 2 for 5p I'm going to say the following.
So basically these people have misused the motorcycles which are provided and run at the taxpayers expense. Not only that, they have escorted the bride to the venue whilst displaying blue flashing lights in a non emergency deployment. Extremely irresponsible behaviour. Should an accident have occurred as a result of this then the riders would have found themselves at the very least on a charge of driving without due care and attention, and rightly so.
Blue lights are for emergency situations ONLY not for transporting somebody to a wedding for F sake.

Blackburn with Darwen Council chiefs urged to take drink and obesity lesson from 1850
Back to the 1850s eh ?
That was when the average life-expectancy for most people was around 40 - if they survived childhood/childbirth
Obviously the " we know what's best for you because we work in the Town Hall " mentality is still alive and well in Blackburn.
Perhaps if this wasn't such a sh*te country to live in, people might pursue that Mediterranean diet/lifestyle we hear so much about.
But politicians ignore the electorate and our requirements ( immigration, leaving the EU etc ) whilst successive governments have presdided over the death of our manufacturing industries in the name of globalisation and a free market.
Pass the Stella would you and get me a pizza. Oh, and some fags while you're at it.

New alcohol strategy for Blackburn with Darwen to tackle booze misuse
Really? Then accept some responsibility for all the off-licences that BwDBC have let off when they've been repeatedly caught selling alcohol to minors. You're part of the problem, not the solution.

Armed robbers raid Blackburn jewellers
BuckoTheMoose wrote: A handgun? But I thought they were banned? No shots were fired so it might have been a toy gun. Some of them look real. A scared shop assistant wouldn't know the difference, and if the crooks are caught it will mean less jail time than if they carried a handgun. Hope they catch them. If they keep that up someone will get hurt. They are probably not local men.

Big waste of money in my opinion. All the information you would need on every candidate could be found at http://www.choosemyp cc.org.uk. I found it in one Google search and it took me five minutes to read their manifestos and visit their websites. Complaining that you had "zero information" basically translates to "I was too lazy to bother looking into it". I can't fathom why people don't take voting seriously, especially when people like hotcrossbun99 and Darrens Delivery Service will probably later complain about the way police are spending money, etc.
