Judge on comeback trail

ROVERS' Irish youngster Alan Judge has returned from a knee injury sooner than expected and will be involved in tonight's reserve trip to Newcastle.

It was believed Judge would be out of action for several more weeks but will now look to boost his first-team hopes in the North East tonight.

After Paul Ince's men beat Newcastle 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, reserve boss Iain Brunskill will be hoping to inflict more Tyneside misery.

Julio Santa Cruz is again included in a young Rovers' squad.

Great news - impressed with Judge when he played this season so hopefully be more of the same.
