ROBBIE Fowler played 45 minutes for Rovers' reserves last night as they drew 0-0 with Manchester United's second string at the Marston Arena.

The former Liverpool man went close with a couple of first half strikes, on his first appearance since signing last week, before being replaced at the break.

Julio Santa Cruz also made his first Rovers appearance since arriving at Ewood, making a late substitute appearance, as Rovers dominated without being able to break the deadlock.

Hope pay as U play doesn't extend to reserve games as yet again, Fowler didn't score. Didn't in pre-season either so it makes U wonder what the hell he's gonna add in the Prem.

Think Julio "Hulio, in the back of the goal, like" has more chance of making a breakthrough on name alone...
