Paul Ince: My future is at Blackburn Rovers

PAUL Ince insists his sole focus is on ‘managing Blackburn Rovers’ as he chooses to ignore all speculation linking him to Newcastle United.

Reports in the North East have made the Rovers boss a strong contender to succeed Kevin Keegan at St James’ Park, but Ince was keen to play down all reports.

Despite the odds on him leaving Ewood Park for Newcastle tumbling from 66/1 to 7/1, making him joint third favourite, Ince was intent instead on focusing on this afternoon’s visit of Arsenal.

He said: “You are never going to get away from speculation. I am not one to comment on speculation.

“As flattering as it is, it is a massive club Newcastle, but I don’t comment on speculation.

“My focus is solely on Blackburn Rovers Football Club and hopefully getting three points tomorrow. If I was not Blackburn Rovers manager I would not be sitting here speaking to you guys.

“I have said before all I am interested in is what happens tomorrow, not what people see in the papers.”

Ince’s friendship with Newcastle’s director of football Dennis Wise has seen him emerge as an unlikely contender, with only Gus Poyet and Didier Deschamps topping him with the bookmakers.

“My future is here, as I said before,” said Ince. “I am here to concentrate on Blackburn and what people choose to write in the papers because me and Wisey are good mates, that is up to them, I can’t control that.

“But all I am interested in is Blackburn Rovers Football Club.”

The guy would be a fool to go
Its defo a step to far at the moment at Ewood hes on a very steep learning curve but given the stability of the Rovers he will be given time and some funding to devlelop his squad.

I cant seem getting time at Newcastle when Keegan hasnt been given and neither have of any the last contenders.

As for Newcastle I cant see the Geordie faithful seeing Ince as the asnswer to their woes

Ince still has alot to prove and I am sure he will finsh what he has started

Come on ince do us all a favour and bugger ogg to newcastle, i wouldnt be suprised if his odds have dropped because he has been betting on himself to make him look good in the eyes of the football world but if he stays i have an idea of who he will sign in jan

1. PAUL JONES
2. ROB JONES
3. CHRIS POWELL
4. MARK WRIGHT
5 GARY PALLISTER
6 JAN MOLBY
7.STUART RIPLEY

The ball rebounds to Pedersen, he shoots a thunderbolt and knocks the Giant into the back of the net. The word forlorn must have been invented to describe the look on the Dingles faces in the Darwen End. It's the 88th minute and they will have to stay and suffer until well after the final whistle. 03 = 30 =
