Burnley trail Champions League-bound Spurs 2-1 at the break in their Premier League swansong at Turf Moor this afternoon.
Spurs were ahead inside three minutes when the speedy Aaron Lennon crossed for Gareth Bale to sidefoot home.
The Welshman then set up Luka Modric for another well-worked goal 32 minutes in but Burnley gave themselves hope three minutes before the break when Wade Elliott beat Ben Alnwick, who was making his first Premier League appearance in goal for Spurs.
