ACCRINGTON Stanley’s situation is dire.
Some £308,000 must be handed over to the Inland Revenue in just over seven weeks or the club will die.
Concerns have been raised about the way Stanley have been run, particularly in staging a cheque presentation for a £25,000 instalment for the tax bill, only to fail to hand the money over.
But this is not the time for such discussions and that is why we are urging readers to help save Stanley.
No matter what has gone before, the Reds will cease to exist if that money is not found.
Finding the cash is the priority.
Once the club is saved, the focus must fall on how the club can be better financially managed.
But for now let’s all unite and ensure Stanley do not die for a second time.
