BLACKBURN Rovers have made four changes for this afternoon’s Lancashire derby at home to relegation-haunted Blackpool.

Alex Baptiste, Tommy Spurr, Jay Spearing and Jordan Rhodes replace Adam Henley, Markus Olsson, Chris Taylor and Josh King.

It is left-back Spurr’s first competitive appearance for Rovers in more than 10 months after recovering from serious groin injuries.

Rock-bottom Blackpool, who are 10 points adrift of safety and without a win in 17 away games this season, also make four changes.

Niall Maher, Grant Hall, David Ferguson and Peter Clarke, who will captain the side, are recalled to the team that started last Saturday’s remarkable 4-4 draw at home to Nottingham Forest.

Rovers: Steele, Baptiste, Hanley, Kilgallon, Spurr, Cairney, Spearing, Evans, Conway, Rhodes, Gestede. Subs: Eastwood, King, Brown, Olsson, Williamson, Taylor, Duffy.

Blackpool: Lewis, Maher, Clarke, Hall, Dunne, Perkins, O'Hara, Ferguson, Cameron, Telford, Madine. Subs: Parish, McMahon, Oliver, Cubero, Rothwell, Delfouneso, Bright Samuel.
