BLACKBURN Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has made eight changes for today’s FA Cup fifth-round clash with Mark Hughes’ Stoke City at Ewood Park.

Only centre-back Matt Kilgallon, who captains Rovers, left-back Markus Olsson and right-midfielder Tom Cairney remain from the side that started Tuesday’s 2-1 Championship victory at home to Rotherham United.

Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood, right-back Adam Henley, centre-back Shane Duffy, centre-midfielders Chris Taylor and Lee Williamson and striker Josh King, who started Rovers’ 2-1 third-round win at Charlton Athletic and 3-1 fourth-round success at home to Stoke’s Premier League rivals Swansea City, are recalled.

Top-scorer Rudy Gestede starts his first match since January 11 while Ben Marshall is brought back into the team following the last-gasp triumph over Rotherham.

Jason Steele, skipper Grant Hanley, Corry Evans, Craig Conway and Jordan Rhodes, who all started against the Millers, are on the bench along with Tommy Spurr and Luke Varney.

Stoke, managed by former Rovers player and boss Mark Hughes, have made just one change to the side that started their 4-1 home loss to Manchester City on Wednesday.

Young England goalkeeper Jack Butland, who played for the Potters in their third-round victory over Wrexham and fourth-round win over Rochdale, takes the place of Asmir Begovic.
