JASON Lowe’s return will be a shot in the arm to Rovers as they bid to break into the top six, says manager Gary Bowyer.

The 23-year-old is in line to be named in the squad to face Brentford tomorrow, after being ruled out since the end of August with a stress fracture in his foot.

Lowe quickly rose through the Ewood Park ranks, making his Premier League debut in January 2011.

Rovers went on to suffer relegation the following season but Bowyer believes the midfielder possesses the right qualities to help them get back to the top flight.

“He’s got an unbelievable attitude. He loves the club and has been through everything with this club over the last couple of years,” said the Rovers boss.

“To burst onto the scene as he did as an 18-year-old and then experience relegation from the Premier League and gone through that – he’s never changed, he’s just got hungrier and hungrier to improve.

“His energy levels is something that we’ve missed.”
