A NEW signing is set to be the perfect prescription for Blackburn Rovers as the club benefits from an innovative sponsorship deal.

Rovers have secured a sponsor for the club’s medical department which will see locally based private medical insurance specialist Chase Templeton backing the six-strong squad of medics and physios.

The move means club doctor Amit Pannu and head of sports medicine Dave Fevre will now wear Chase Templeton branded kit as they tend to injured players on the pitch.

The stretcher at Ewood Park will also bear the logo of the company which, with over 35,000 corporate and individual clients, is one of the UK’s leading private medical insurance intermediaries.

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer said: “Our medical team play an absolutely vital role in maintaining the peak fitness and swift recovery from injury of the squad, much of it behind the scenes, so it’s great that they’re receiving such recognition and support.”

Warren Dickson, chief executive at Lower Darwen headquartered Chase Templeton, said: “We hope this sponsorship deal is just the first of many as we look to develop a deeper, long term relationship with one of the country’s oldest yet most forward thinking clubs.”

Meanwhile, bookings are now being taken for the Blackburn Rovers Christmas Indoor Soccer Camp.

The camp, for children aged 5-11, will run from December 22-24, December 29-31, and on January 2, at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre next to Ewood Park and costs £10 per day or at discounted price of £59 for those attending all seven days.
