JOSH King has once again used the Norwegian media to express his exasperation at a lack of playing opportunities at Blackburn Rovers – and hinted he may have to look for a New Year move if the situation does not change.

King, speaking ahead of Norway’s Euro 2016 qualifier in Malta tonight, said: “I’m 22 years old and cannot sit for a whole season on the bench.

“The window opens in January and if things do not change I have to look around for new opportunities.

“But I do not think too much about it now.”

King, who is out of contract in the summer, spoke of his frustration at Ewood Park after Norway’s defeat to England in last month’s Wembley friendly.

After returning from international duty he failed to make it off the bench in Rovers’ next four matches.

But King was handed his second league start of the season in last Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town and was praised for his performance by boss Gary Bowyer and team-mate Shane Duffy.
