Jason Steele - 6
Looked nervy at times but, with his defenders throwing their bodies in the way of the ball, was largely untested.
Ben Marshall - 8
Still able to influence the match from right back, he created two great second half chances for the Rover strikers.
Grant Hanley - 7
Solid defensively, one first-half lunge aside, but missed excellent headed opportunities in both halves.
Shane Duffy - 9
No-one in a Rovers shirt made more interceptions, clearances and blocks as he completely nullified Grant Holt.
Markus Olsson - 7
Made a superb block to deny Nahki Wells early on, the left-back was one of Rovers’ best players in the first half.
Lee Williamson - 6
Forced Alex Smithies into the save of the match, he saw plenty of the ball and maintained possession well.
Tom Cairney - 7
Still feeling effects of injury, he played a lovely through ball to Josh King in the second half after going close in the first.
Ryan Tunnicliffe - 6
Committed as ever but not as adventurous as he has been as Rovers attempted to offer more protection to defence.
Craig Conway - 7
Skimmed the post and threw ball after ball into the Huddersfield box, one of which led to the penalty.
Josh King - 7
Justified his recall to the team but he should have marked it with at least a goal having passed up three chances.
Jordan Rhodes - 5
So often the hero the striker’s failure to tuck away his penalty came as a surprise to everyone in the ground.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Shane Duffy
Hardly put a foot wrong, his display, just like against Fulham, was a big reason why Rovers kept a welcome clean sheet
