BLACKBURN Rovers defender Tommy Spurr has made his return from injury.
The left back played for 45 minutes as the Rovers U21s side went down to a 1-0 defeat to Reading at Ewood Park on Monday.
It was Spurr’s first competitive appearance since he injured his groin on the eve of the Championship opener at home to Cardiff City.
The birthday boy, who turns 27 today, is unlikely to come into first-team contention for Saturday’s home clash with Huddersfield Town.
But, providing he does not suffer any setbacks, he will be in Rovers boss Gary Bowyer’s plans for the trip to Ipswich Town on October 18 after the international break.
