THE second stage of the Forest of Bowland management plan consultation has been launched.

Bosses at the area of natural beauty have published proposals for the site for 2014 until 2019.

Following a series of consultation workshops in summer, views of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) partners, landowners, farmers, residents, visitors, and interested organisations are now being sought.

The management plan highlights things that makes the AONB special, some of the key issues affecting the area, recent partnership work to conserve and enhance the area and detailed actions to be delivered over the next plan period.

Principal AONB officer Elliott Lorimer said: “The partnership is keen to receive comments and thoughts on this important plan for the area to help conserve and enhance the natural beauty of this very special landscape.”

The Consultation Draft is online at www.forestof bowland.com/mgmtplanreview. For a printed copy and comment form, call 01200 448000.
