A SPONSORED walk took place in Darwen yesterday to campaign against use of animals in laboratory testing.
The walk was organised by the Dr Hadwen Trust, a national charity dedicated to finding alternatives to use of animals in experiments.
An annual walk involves thousands of people at venues across the country.
Walkers set off from the former Liberal Club, Falcon Avenue, Darwen, taking in Roddlesworth, Darwen Tower and Belmont Reservoir.
Among walkers were bosses from Feniscowles engineering company, Cowie and Riding, who handed over a cheque for £100.
