CHRISTIANS and Muslims came up with ways of working together at a meeting of faith leaders.

The Blackburn Interfaith Council met at St Joseph's RC Church in Audley Range.

They vowed to hold meetings to discuss topics like births, marriages and death, and discussed the possibility of holding a joint fun day.

The gathering, on February 12, was organised Salim Mulla, of Lancashire Council of Mosques.

Among the delegates were leaders of Blackburn's Nurool Islam, Jaame and Rizwan mosques.

They were joined by representatives from Westbury Gardens United Reformed Church, and St Joseph's, St Antony's and St Teresa's RC churches.

The next meeting will be in a mosque in the next few weeks.
