A FUN dog show, live bands, kids’ activities, and a beer tent, will feature at the Stacksteads Summer Festival next week.
The event will be held at the village recreation ground on Saturday, June 7, from noon until 9pm.
Gill Knowles, chairman of organisers Stacksteads Countryside Park Group, said: “This year we have tried to offer family activities for all age groups.
“We have a 20-class fun dog show, a traditional funfair and stalls, a storyteller and a science tent for younger children, and music for all tastes.
“We are asking for a £2 donation to cover the expenses of the musicians, but many activities have no charge, and we hope residents will come along and support us.”
There will also be a ‘carboot corner’, at which stalls cost £5 per pitch.
