LANCASHIRE Constabulary has confirmed that it does not require applicants to pass the controversial Certificate in Knowledge of Policing test.
Aspiring police officers have hit out at forces that ask them to study for and pass a new £1,300 certificate before they can start the job.
The Certificate in Knowledge of Policing is already a requirement to join six police forces, including the Metropolitan Police in London, and other forces are considering introducing the new standard.
