NEW classrooms are in the pipeline for children at two neighbouring schools after one announced expansion plans.
Governors at Holly Grove School, Burnley, want to expand their roll from 50 to 70, as the number of young students with learning difficulties and complex health needs grows.
Holly Grove has even had to turn pupils away because there is not enough space at the Barden Campus school.
Space occupied by neighbouring Barden Primary would be used alongside a new extension and in return extra classrooms would be erected for Barden Primary to compensate for the lost space.
It would give Barden Primary its own ‘front entrance’ from the rear of the existing site and allow Holly Grove to have its own ‘reception’ at the other end of the building.
