Driver hurt as lorry overturns on A56

A LORRY overturned on the A56 last night.
The wagon fell just after 6.30pm at the roundabout on the A56 off Junction 8 of the M65 for Huncoat and Hapton.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said the driver had been removed from the cab by firefighters and treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital, but his injuries were not thought to be serious.
The road was closed until about 10pm when the wagon was removed.
