MORETON HISTORY SOCIETY: At the November Meeting Dr Tim Jordan gave an illustrated talk on Cotswold Stone Barns.
Dr Jordan has a long-standing interest in vernacular architecture, especially the old stone barns that are so much a part of our agricultural heritage, but now sadly disappearing at an increasingly rapid rate, and he has published two books on the subject.
His talk was very well received by those present.
He was thanked by the chairman Margaret Shephard.
The meeting on December 14 will be a festive occasion with Mr and Mrs Gwilym Davies performing their programme of traditional Cotswold carols and wassails, followed by seaonal refreshments.
