A CHILDREN’S film club is to launch at Accrington Town Hall, it was announced.
Opening in March, the club will be mainly aimed at families with pre-school-aged children.
A spokesman said: “It will allow little ones to experience the magic and wonder of film on the big screen in our grand and newly-refurbished ballroom.
MORE TOP STORIES:
“So there’ll be plenty of space for them to spread out, play, and participate as an audience by dressing up as their favourite Disney princess or Marvel superhero, singing along and generally having a great time.”
Refreshments for both children and their parents will also be available.
While the finer details have yet to be announced, interested parties have been asked to follow the town hall’s official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AccringtonTownHall.
Parents have been asked to voice their preference for sessions, including any films they would like to be shown, and whether screenings should be held in the mornings or afternoons.
One mum, Nicky Ashton, said: “Weekend mornings would be awesome. My little girl likes Cinderella, Aristocats, Sleeping Beauty, Despicable Me, and Frozen.”
And Holly Young added: “This is a great idea. My little girl doesn’t go to nursery on a Monday so I have it off work, but we always struggle to find something to do as I don’t drive.”
