AN inquest into the death of William Hart, who was hit by a car in Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, has been adjourned until Tuesday, February 3.
The retired lorry driver died in hospital in August after a nine-week battle after he was hit by a Ford Fiesta on June 21 while crossing the road from between two parked cars.

Blackburn Coroner Michael Singleton said: “The police are continuing to investigate the link between the road traffic collision and Mr Hart’s death, with a view to submitting a report to the Crown Prosecution Service.”
The club is close to a bridge over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and concerns have been raised that, because of the brow in the road, drivers can’t see properly what is on the other side. Mr Hart’s widow, Ann, has called for double yellow lines to prevent further tragedies.
