RESIDENTS in Oswaldtwistle have been invited to share their memories of a loved one at a memorial Christmas tree.
The tree will be unveiled at Hyndburn Funeral Services, in Union Road, from 10am on Saturday, December 13.
Funeral director Allan Dobson said: ‘We are inviting residents to come along and place a star, adorned with memories and wishes of a loved one on our memorial Christmas tree.
‘If they wish they may also make a donation in memory of their loved one. These will be forwarded to the East Lancashire Hospice to aid in the support of those in their care.’.
Tea, coffee, and mince pies will be served free of charge until noon.
Another event will be held from 10am until noon the following Saturday, and residents are welcome to drop in during normal opening hours, from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. The tree is open until New Year’s Eve.
