MORE than £10,000-worth of flu and child vaccinations have been stolen from a delivery van.

Police said that a white Mercedes Sprinter van was taken from outside the High Street Medical Centre in High Street, Riston, at around 1pm on Thursday.

It was last seen on Junction Seven of the M65, heading towards Junction Eight.

Practice manager Julie Bartley said: “The driver had parked up outside and came in and introduced himself to me.

“He turned back to the van but then it drove away.

“We had not been given the delivery at that point but we are carrying on as normal.

“I do not know when the next one will arrive though but it has not affected our practice at all.”

Sgt Sean Frodsham said: “I would ask the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the van, registration number RX13JAU, to police.

“I would also urge anyone who may have any information about the theft to contact us on 101.”
