X FACTOR sensation Reece Bibby will perform two surprise charity gigs this weekend.

The Accrington teenager, who captivated all four judges of the ITV hit series’ opening show last weekend, will open East Lancashire Hospice’s new garden at 12.30pm before performing.

Later, at 3.30pm, he will treat the crowds at a motor show at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, in Clayton-le-Moors to lend his support to Burnley rally driver Chris Wood’s spinal injury fund.

Recce will then join his family at the prestigious Rally Drivers’ Ball due to take place at the hotel in the evening, appearing on-stage for a second performance - joining ex-Fame Academy singer Alistair Griffin on the bill.

Reece said: “I’m having a great time getting to meet so many people and supporting some great local charities. I feel lucky to be asked so I’m doing as much as I can to help good causes in my own community.”

A spokeswoman for the East Lancashire Hospice said: “We are delighted that Reece is backing the hospice.”

Entry to the motor show is free, with a £5 parking fee going towards Chris Wood’s appeal.

Chris, who is tetraplegic following a cycling accident last year, is raising money for his own treatment and that of others with spinal injuries.
