Woman trapped between car and wall after crash in Great Harwood

A WOMAN got trapped between a car and a wall following a crash at 11.30am today.

Fire crews from Great Harwood and Hyndburn fire stations freed the woman by turning the car on to its side.

The woman’s car is thought to have set off before she was fully seated in the vehicle causing her to crash into a garden wall in Whalley Road.

She was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a lower leg injury, firefighters said.

I have never known a car set off on it's own. If she was trapped between the car and the garden wall, to say she wasn't seated properly is ridiculous she couldn't have even been in the car. Probably didn't put the handbrake on and it rolled trapping the silly sod.

Can you relly believe anything in this paper?
The car was NOT put on it's side. The fire crew dragged the car away from the wall and the lady taken out through the door.
Fact.
