12:10pm Tuesday 27th August 2013 in Hyndburn
A NOT-for-profit group is offering ‘meaningful voluntary experience’ for people looking to brush up their CV.
Hyndburn Used Furniture Store, known as HUFS, helps people on low incomes, benefits, or facing hardship in life by recycling used furniture for those who need it.
Now the group is opening its doors to volunteers looking to get skills and experience for their CV.
Voluntary positions available at HUFS include driver, van crew member, warehouse operative, maintenance person and office admin.
The group is also inviting would-be volunteers to contact them with any other skills and experience they may have and how they can use them at HUFS.
A spokeswoman said: “We are here to provide meaningful volunteering and employment opportunities. Anyone who wants to find out more or become one of our valued volunteers should give us a call.”
Ring 01254 393784 or visit Facebook and search for the HUFS page.
