AN ACCRINGTON school has assured parents and pupils that none of its school dinners had been identified as at risk of containing horse meat.
A message on St Christopher’s CE High School website said the school only used reputable suppliers who had confirmed they followed Food Standards Agency guidelines.
The message from the Queens Road West school said: “Given the recent national news regarding meat products, we wish to confirm that St Christopher’s purchases from only reputable suppliers.
“We have received written assurances that they do not use any of the products that have already been identified as at risk and that they are at all times following initial FSA Guidelines on sampling and testing of beef products and raw materials.”
