Rishton residents urged to be vigilant on home security

POLICE in Rishton have urged residents to be extra vigilant with their home security this winter.
With darker nights, officers have asked householders to double check security and lighting.
PCSO Steve Charnley, from Rishton neighbourhood policing team, said: “Rishton is a safe place and crime levels are low, but it is important that residents don’t become complacent.
"Simple things like closing your curtains when it goes dark and making sure your door is locked will provide a deterrent.”
