DARWEN Vale pupils have taken over the airwaves this week.
Pupils from all year groups have been taking part in DVR – Darwen Vale Radio – which closes tomorrow, having broadcast five programmes a day, starting with Breakfast Bonanza from 8am to 10am and Morning Mix from 10am to noon.
In the afternoon there is Eat with the Beat between noon and 2pm; Afternoon Affair at 2pm to 4pm and then Drivetime between 4pm and 6pm.
All presenting is being done by pupils, and the music is ranging from classic 1960s’ tunes, pop from the 1980s’ and up-to-date hits.
Teachers are also trying their hand at the DJ game, and chat includes anything from sports, entertainment, and news on the exciting Building Schools for the Future programme.
To listen on a radio, tune in to 87.7fm, or log on to the school’s webpage at www.darwenvale.black burn.sch.uk, and click on the link for the radio.
