THE team vicar for St Peter’s Church, Darwen, and St Paul’s Church, Hoddlesden, is leaving next month after five years in the job.
The Rev Geoff Mumford has been appointed Priest-in-Charge of Copman-thorpe, Askham, Bryan and Bolton Percy with Colton – three parishes, four villages and four churches to the south west of York.
He will be relocating with his wife Clare and young daughter.
Mr Mumford said: “We will miss Darwen and Hoddlesden for many different reasons, but most of all for the friends we’ve made.”
He has invited people to join him in his Service of Licensing at 7.30pm on November 17 at St Giles’ Church, Copmanthorpe.
