THE Police helicopter was deployed in Darwen on Saturday morning after a car failed to stop for officers.
Police received an emergency call at 6.50am with a report of a domestic incident at an address in Alexandra View.
Officers said that a knife had potentially been brandished at another person at the property.
Inspector Graham Marshal said: "We received a call about an incident in Darwen and that a knife had potentially been involved.
"Officers were deployed but the male suspect failed to stop his car for officers.
"The police helicopter was deployed and the man then stopped the car a short time later.
"It was a low speed chase the the helicopter was deployed because of standard procedure.
"A man was arrested at the scene."
