DARWEN MP Jake Berry has called on the Department of Education to ensure that the new governing body at Darwen Vale High School has local representatives.
Mr Berry has called on Lord Nash to ensure that a new Interim Executive Board will be made up of local representatives who will stand up for the school’s best interests. Mr Berry said: “I’m pleased that the Government has agreed with me that there should be a full and open consultation with parents, students and the school.
“I’ve now made representations to the Department of Education and I am pushing for a board of governors who will ensure that Darreners have a strong and clear voice for the school.”
