EMERGENCY services were called to Haslingden Road, Guide, at around 12.51pm yesterday after a van collided with a car.

Two fire engines from Blackburn attended the scene, at the roundabout to junction 5 of the M65, and had to cut the roof off a Ford Escort in order to release the female driver.

She was removed from the vehicle on a long board and taken to hospital after complaining of neck pains.
