A BLACKBURN pupil has won her former school an iPad after triumphing in a logo design competition.
Fatema Latif, a former pupil at St Silas Primary School, Blackburn, came up with the winning design of a new logo for Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Local Safeguarding Board.
The brief was to design a logo that represents children being kept safe.
Dozens of children from across Blackburn and Darwen entered but Fatema’s design, featuring a ring of brightly coloured stick people, was picked as the winner.
The winning design was decided upon by a judging panel made up of members from the Local Safeguarding Adults Board and the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board.
Councillor Frank Connor, Executive Member for Children’s Services, and Linda Clegg, Director of Children’s Services, presented the award to Fatema’s brother, nine-year-old Daiyaan, as Fatema has moved on to high school.
