PROFITS at East Lancashire-based Crown Paints went up by £5million in the last financial year.
The company announced its financial results after publishing its latest accounts, for the year ending on December 31.
They showed the company, based in Darwen made a profit of £19.3million in the year, compared to £14.2million in 2012.
In his statement submitted with the accounts, chief executive Joe Devitt said there was ‘substantial provision for further capital investment’.
Operating profits were up £6million to £22million and turnover rose slightly from £192.7million to £193.5million.
His report showed the firm made £3,350 of charitable donations in 2013 via its charity committee.
