A COMPANY has pulled off a ‘Minor’ miracle by wallpapering a vintage car to symbolise British icons.

Blackburn-based wallpaper producers Graham and Brown recently purchased the 1961 Morris Minor after the model proved a success in an advertising campaign.

She has been christened ‘Doris the Morris’ by staff at the Stanley Street firm, who have decorated her in one of the company’s designs, the 2015 Wallpaper of the Year, called Northern Rose.

Anthony Hogan, 30, who lives in Feniscowles, works in marketing and social media for the firm and is the man who drives Doris to various events.

He said: “A while ago the company did some marketing on the theme of ‘British Greats’ where various iconic British things like The Houses of Parliament and Lytham Windmill were portrayed as being covered in our wallpaper.

“One of the icons was the Morris Minor and it went down really well so we decided to purchase one.”

Doris was acquired around two months’ ago and has was covered in a vinyl version of the wallpaper by a heat transfer process.
