A BLACKBURN schoolgirl has helped to design the new menu for a national restaurant chain.

And eight-year-old Phoebe Reast-Jones got a special treat when she was invited to the Poachers, in Bamber Bridge, to try the new menu she helped design.

Phoebe won a Facebook competition – beating hundreds of children across the UK – to become one of 10 Little Leaders for Wacky Warehouse and Fayre & Square.

As a result she was invited to the company’s Burton-upon-Trent head office to help choose everything from the new dishes and theme, to the game on the back of the menu.

Phoebe’s step-mum Helen said: “Phoebe really enjoyed getting behind the scenes, particularly when she got to dress up in a suit and tell the big boss exactly what she thought should be included.

“The new menu looks really exciting for kids.

“I particularly like the under the sea theme Phoebe helped pick. And I know that Phoebe is really pleased that the noughts and squares dessert game and build your own pancake face made it to the final menu too – she thoroughly enjoyed trying them out.”

The new Fayre and Square kids menu was launched at all 152 pub restaurants yesterday.

Wacky Warehouse has 78 outlets nationwide and is the UK’s largest soft play provider for children aged up to 12-years-old. Fayre & Square is a national pub restaurant brand.
