AGE UK Blackburn with Darwen is working with the EE shop in Blackburn, offering a free session for the over 50s on how to make the most of their mobile phone or tablet. Older people are invited to bring along their own equipment, and staff from EE will be available to show them how to make best use of their devices, including using them for keeping in touch with friends or family.

Sharon Lucas, Age UK’s Health and Wellbeing Manager said: “Mobile phones and tablets can be a really useful and cost effective way for older people to keep in touch with friends and family who don’t live locally.

“However, we know that many older people are concerned or just don’t know where to start.”

The session will be on Tuesday, September 9, at the EE shop in Blackburn Mall, 9.30am to 11am.
