Blackburn Rovers played host to more than 40 children and young people at Ewood Park.

The club, the borough council and the Blackburn Rovers Action Group got together to enable the 10 to 15-years-olds to be treated to a day out watching the Blackburn Rovers V Wolverhampton Wanderers match.

The day kicked off with a tour of the grounds at 12 noon and concluded in the striker’s lounge where they received a pre match lunch and took part in a quiz The young people also got the opportunity to take part in a penalty shoot-out at half time and met Rovers’ new £3 million striker Leon Best.

Glen Mullen from the Blackburn Rovers Action Group, said: “This was a fantastic gesture by the club and I'm sure it was be a memorable day for the children.”
