The North West’s apprenticeship and skills stars were revealed as the National Training Awards and National Apprenticeship Awards ceremony was held at Blackburn Youth Zone.
The event was opened by Harry Catherall, chief executive of Blackburn with Darwen Council and co-presented by Matthew Riley, chief executive of Pendle firm Daisy Group Plc.
The winners included Hycrome Ltd, of Burnley, who received the North West Nuclear Decommissioning SLC Award for Medium Apprenticeship Employer of the Year. Hycrome’s apprentice Zayanah Mansor was also awarded Highly Commended in the EAL Advanced Apprentice of the Year.
The evening was sponsored by Blackburn College, Enterprise for All and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
