DIANA Vickers has landed her first film role starring alongside Clint Eastwood’s son.

The ex-Westholme pupil from Huncoat has confessed that she is “a bit nervous” about the upcoming role in the indie surfing film, which she will start filming shortly.

Diana, who found fame on The X Factor, is also working on her second album.

She will jet off to South Africa next Wednesday to make her film debut. She said: “Clint Eastwood's son has got the main role in it and that's going to be pretty wicked.

“I can't really say a lot about it but I'm playing quite a surfer babe. It's a lot about surfing and it's to do with the power of life and death. It's quite interesting.

“I’m going to miss my mum and my friends. I'll be Skyping. I'm a bit nervous but the director's great, it's going to be fun.

“I'm going to learn how to surf and I'm going to go to Cape Town and stay there.”

The 21-year-old, who hung out at V Festival last weekend with her model boyfriend George Craig, previously acted on the West End stage in musical The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice.

She told the Lancashire Telegraph in 2010 that she hoped to move into acting and that her management were actively looking for roles.

Speaking at the time, she said: “We are going to see what happens and if the right role comes along it is something I will jump at.”

She has also declared that she wouldn’t have any problem posing naked in a film, if it was “tasteful”.
