PUPILS and staff at Pleckgate High School Mathematics and Computing College, Blackburn, have raised a record breaking amount of money for charity.
They have collected more than £16,000 during this school year after a range of charity events and fundraisers.
The money will go to a number of different charities and the cash will go to help people locally, nationally and internationally.
Headteacher Robin Campbell said: “This is the highest amount we’ve ever raised in a single year for charity.
I’m very proud of the efforts of my staff and pupils and it shows the caring ethos that we’ve developed at our school.”
