A CHARITY set up in memory of the wife of Rovers legend Colin Hendry was given a boost by a town centre fundraiser.
An event with fans launching a supporters’ trust also included a raffle and auction, raising £501 for the Denise Hendry Foundation.
Jacqui Forster, of Supporters Direct, and Duncan Miller from the Blackburn Rovers Supporters Trust, met with Rheagan Hendry, director of the Denise Hendry Foundation and daughter of the former Rovers defender at Blakeys Cafe Bar, King George’s Hall, in Blackburn, on Wednesday.
The charity was founded after Mrs Hendry, 43, died from leukemia in 2009, following a botched liposuction operation.

What an absolutely beautiful gesture in memory of the Late Denise Hendry.
