GOOD defence by both sides saw the first quarter remain scoreless until Holland broke the deadlock with two penalties for Vulcan.
This prompted a 10-minute scoring spree by the home side with Holland grabbing a rapid-fire hat-trick of tries to put them firmly in control at the interval.
After the break LSH grabbed an early try through McCann but Vulcan quickly replied with a try by Laughton followed by two touchdowns by veteran Crinigan.
LSH reduced the deficit with late tries by Houghton and McClurg.
Any players wishing to join Vulcan can go down to training at the sportsfield on Thursdays from 7pm.

The Vulcan juniors showed great skill to demolish their opponents in this vital league clash. Taylor, Raff, Josh, Crinigan, Chappel and Kenyon scored tries for the winners who were also well served by Tickle, McGuire, Fletcher and Callus.
