A MAN died and a bus driver and several passengers injured in a crash involving a car and a bus at Ellenbrook.
John Dennis Lee, 57, of Carlton Avenue, Walkden, had to be cut free from the wreckage of his Vauxhall Astra by firemen on Friday morning but died later the same day in Hope Hospital.
Police say the bus, driven by Keith James Wrigley, 31, of Wigan Road, Atherton, was stopped at a passenger stop when the accident happened near the junction of Newearth Road and the East Lancashire Road at Boothstown.
Mr Wrigley and several of his First Bus passengers received minor injuries.
